Dropbox – Good Place To Share or Backup Files

I want to share a FREE application with you called Dropbox.  Dropbox is a place to backup your files or share them with others.  You can access your files from anywhere, and they automatically update on whichever computer you are on. Since we work virtually I can share files with staff or clients and we all always have the most recent version of the file.  You can work off line and Dropbox will automatically sync the next time you are online.  This means you can work on a project at work, save it, and it will be waiting for you when you get home.  You can also share one or more of the folders with other users, or use the “Public” folder to share files with people who don’t have dropbox, which is great for large files that are hard to e-mail.

My daughter & I recently used Dropbox while getting everything done for her wedding.  This meant both of us always had the most up to date info on what was left on the ‘To Do’ list, the guest list and addresses and well as the RSVP replies.  We only shared one folder, so my work information, as well as her school information, remained private.

You get 2 gig of storage for free and can ‘earn’ more free storage by inviting friends that also register (250 meg per friend- you don’t have to share files with them) up to a total of 10 gig free.  If you need more space they have an option to pay to upgrade.

For more information or a free download go to www.dropbox.com/features.  To see the list of features or watch the video at www.dropbox.com

Hope you find this application as useful as we have.
